Forest Floor
Ohanapecosh Campground Trail, MRNP. Bunchberry at the foot of a large conifer.

This is shot at "nomal" focal length for a sense of scale: 48mm, f9, 1/13, ISO 500.
A macro version can be viewed in the Flora critique gallery.

Wildflowers are beginning in the mountains ( at least at Rainier ) at the lower levels. Haven't had a chance to check out Paradise yet. Next trip, soon!

I've seen this plant, but didn't know what it was called. Thanks! This does give a nice sense of scale.

I've always wanted to capture a meadow of Avalanche Lilies; let me know if you see any when you visit Paradise.

Amongst all the chaos of the dead and uprooted you still find beauty on the forest floor.
