Anyone make it down there last weekend? Are the Sangres still fairly snowy? Creek flowing? Medano road open to the campsites?

Heading down there this weekend. Anyone else heading down? Let me know and I'll look for you.

Here's a shot of Medano Creek about 1/2 mile upstream of the Visitor's Center.

I just got back from a weekend at the Dunes. Medano Creek was not seen. But I didn't try to get to it from the Camp Ground. The closest I saw the creek was the wet sand on Saturday morning by the parking lot. The clouds blowing over the mountains and down the valleys was a rare treat Friday evening.

Wow, that water was gone Adam. Pretty wild. Nice composition.

This is a late evening pic from the Dunes, near Star Dune, just before sun disappeared Saturday.
