Red spot
In this photo, which was shot at ISO 400 there is a small bright red spot in the deers right ear. I have noticed this spot in several photos at ISO 400 or higher when the photo is under exposed. What is it? It does not show up consistantly. Any help/explaination will be greatly appreciated.

My first guess is a dead pixel.

I agree. A hot or dead pixel. Most sensors have them and can usually be spotted with long evening exposures or by bringing up the exposure in underexposed images via postprocessing. It's not a big deal really.

Looks like maybe several affected pixels which is affecting the pixels surrounding them.
