Hello everyone, not been out much of late, due to our horrid weather . I thought I'd re-process an old photo instead. I've used the burn tool to add some depth to the rock, cloned out a piece of annying foliage, and lifted some shadow from the eyes. The large posting is jpeg quality 9, as its too big an image at quality 12, it was 1m.

Now that is an owl! Stunning detail and perch. Used to have them taking cats in an area near where I lived in Lancashire, an escapee I presume.

I'm with Neil - the big one looks far better Paul

I agree that the large one looks better as well. I have noticed it with a number of people's shots and wonder why it is. Is it simply that a larger shot contains more detail (assuming the shot is sharp in the first place)?
Paul as already pointed out the large one looks full of detail and very sharp but i am not sure about the eyes, then again it could be these old eyes of mine
