Worth it?

Worth it?
Hiking the Ramona Falls trail on Sunday, I tried to find a Rhody blooming by the stream. Despite the fact that there were lots of blooms, they were rare along the water's edge.

I did find this guy, but sadly there was a bit of movement between shooting different focus points. This is a proof I played with; the errors aren't as easy to see at web resolution. I may be able to blend it, but it would definitely be a bit of work.

What do you think? Is the comp worth the effort?

Looks like it's watching the falls. Perhaps a pano crop?? To me, the falls and the flower have the stage.

Yes John, worth it. Pano is a good idea as Catherine suggested, but it works for me as is too.

Well worth it! And i agree with Catherine, when you pano it, the eye is kept at the falls and flower and not led out and up.

I'd say this would be worth it John. Like you said, there just aren't many images out there with rhodies and waterfalls. I'm looking forward to seeing the end result.

John, you mentioned a possible blend of images. Do you have a longer exposure that you could use in the blend to bring out more detail in the very dark lower left corner? That would work well I believe.
