Finally getting to Glacier for the first time. Any of you experienced Glacier photographers have suggestions of places/times, etc. in the park to make sure not to miss? I'll be staying in St. Mary's campground from the 14th to the 17th. Will then head south of there to tool around places like Virginia City and eventually into West Yellowstone, cut through the park, and home to my place just outside the East gate. Want to make the most of the week or so that I have so any suggestions you can send my way would be appreciated.
Lake McDonald at sunset is an absolute beauty! I would definitely recommend that. Swiftcurrent Lake at sunrise is also majestic. Logan Pass has a lot to offer, the often photographed Hidden Lake and there is a somewhat well known waterfall around there too.
Thanks for your suggestions. Do you know the name of that waterfall? I've also heard that a good place to spot mountain goats is along the trail leading to Hidden Lake. Have you had any luck with seeing mountain goats this time of year there?

It has beeen a few decades since I hiked in Glacier, but Grinnell Lake and Grinnell Glacier made an impression upon my memory. Iceberg Lake was nice and was a popular dayhike.
