Just a little stream going through tangled brush. I really liked the vine maples? in this shot encompassing the stream. :)

Nice flow Cliff! I like the arch above the diagonal of the stream.

I've come back to this photo several times, Cliff. For one reason, I didn't notice that it was posted only as a larger photo. (Slap to forehead.)
I think you've captured the look of a PNW forest very well. The stream has a good flow and I like how it traverses the frame. The shadows are very heavy, especially in the llc. It may indeed have looked that way in person, but in the photo it turns into a blank spot, kind of an eyesore... So, I'd suggest selectively processing those areas in a separate layer to adjust the levels and contrast there. Hope that helps.

Nice shot, Cliff. I can see what Catherine was saying about the shadow areas. But, at the same time I'm not sure if I would change it either. To me, the dark shadows also shows what it can look like in the PNW forest when you have a lot of trees or canopies cutting out some of your lighting. I guess it would all be in what kind of mood you're trying to create. I would like it either way and I like the flow you got in the stream.

Thanks for the comments. I didnt like the lower left either, and thought about cloning the upper left partial tree trunk out.

Very nice image Cliff. I like the flow of the image and the shutter speed you used. My only suggestions would be to open up the dark shadows in the lower half of the frame and to crop a bit from the left to exclude the tree trunk in the ULC.
