Pricing a Mural in an Apartment Complex

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a little guidance in pricing an image which will be used as a wall-sized mural in the yoga room of an apartment complex, which is part of a large franchise. From my knowledge, I will not be creating the mural, but providing rights to the image to be used.

Any thoughts at all would be appreciated. I really don't have much of a precendence to start, since it is so different than the prints and canvases I've sold.

Thanks so much!

Navin, you may want to pick up a copy of FotoQuote software. It can be a very useful guide for setting pricing for licensing, in this case and in the future. They do have a couple of different types of mural estimates in there, with the prices varying depending on duration of use and number of murals (e.g., a single mural for 6 months runs between $500 - 1000 on their scale). The nice thing about FotoQuote is that it offers a range, which you obviously don't have to stick to if you don't want to. I use it merely as a guide starting out before crafting a custom quote for each client.
