Evans, too!
Well, like Stan, I made a trip to Evans recently. I was up there last Tuesday. I went in the afternoon and was planning to stay and shoot sunset, but the clouds closed out the west sky. I could see the Flagstaff fire just getting started. It was started by lightning from the storms that formed that afternoon. I got some shots of goats, like Stan, but none were very good. The Bighorn ewes strolled through this first photo for some added elements.

Summit shot. This guy was grabbing some shots from up top.

The alpine wildflowers were going a little crazy. This is Alpine Springbeauty surrounded by Dwarf Alpine clover.

And one of the storms passing south of the summit.

Nice! I love the last two. Next time make sure you get some bacon poppers

I really like the symmetry of your alpine flower grouping.

The photographer on the summit provides some great scale.
Would be nice to have a few lightning bolts in the background.

The alpine flowers look like an arrangement and I love it. So beautiful! Well seen and captured, Morris.

#1 and #3. Morris, your composition in both images is mindboggling to me. In the field, you see comp that I just don't see. I walk on by... I have work to do!

Enjoyable set, Morris. I especially like the wildflower image - it almost looks like it was arranged - good eye to see this. I also like the photographer image with the sense of scale and the repeated forms in the mountain peak and the distant storm cloud. There is also a sense of tension from the darkened storm clouds building overhead.

Some beautiful cloud formations. Great job Morris.

Morris, LOVE the wildflower. Excellent comp! The others are nice too, but that one really stands out for me.

Man, that flower shot is bonkers! You couldn't have hand-planted them better than nature arranged them for you.

Some really nice shots here. second one seems like an intimidating spot to be taking pics from. The flower shot is my fav too. The arrangement and symmetry is just perfect.

I'm a sucker for views, so the first one really stands out to me. The opening in the clouds is pretty interesting and lends a lot to the comopsition - an meteorological false kiva of sorts.

Rarely does shooting directly above a grouping of wildflowers work as well as your third image here. That shot is the standout winner of this post to me. It is definitely an attention-grabber. Magnificent.
