Again 500 f4 and TC, 7D, flashes. Manual focus, 7D seems to lose its abilities in low light with long teles, with or without the TC.

Fine shot, Neil. This series just keeps getting better and better. Now, which one's which?

Nicely done Neil.

From what I have seen of the 7D it's less forgiving in the Exposure and you need to be almost spot on, as you can get rather 'sooty' images.

Thanky guys. I had to crop this a bit and was not sure if I should go more central. I wanted to put them higher in the frame but I know John would say too much mush at the bottom

@Steve. My 7D is a love hate thing. When it is right (that means ISO400 or less) then it is very very good. When it bad it is rubbish. Anything over ISO1000 is red splatter. playing too much in PP just causes a snow storm.

another excellent shot Neil, possibly the best of the series. I can see you're getting a taste for photographing smaller things

Cheers all.

Yes Matt, but the mice are downright fun to watch (I had one jump into my pot of peanuts, right by my feet). Such characters. Insects however are small, scary, flightly little b**gers!
