Nice to see flutterbies again, popped out with my 800mm and got this comma, still quite happy with result. It is a crop but still more pixels than my D2H probably.

Cheers

Hi Tim

Lovely shot and nice specimen - must have found a good hibernation spot. We've only seen peacocks and torts so far - still awaiting the first orange tip.

Cheers

Hi Tim

Summer must be on it's way as Tim is posting bug shots.

That 800mm must have a short minimum focus point for such a close up, even allowing for some cropping. A big advantage of lot of pixels is you can crop a bit and still have a decent sized high res file.

Maybe we should have a sweepstake on when (and who) will post the first damsell shot, you or Phil Hurst

Nice shot anyway, sharp and good colours.

cheers

Sean

LOL Sean.....

I'm keeping my eyes open, with the temperatures forecast in the south east for today there is a remote possibility, trouble is I have so much on my plate at the moment I think Tim might beat me :frown:

Great shot of this Comma Tim, and congrats on the first of the season, you now officially have the longest C/U lens in the country (have you considered putting tubes on it?

All the best
