La Sal Columbine
Shot this yesterday on the Miner's Basin trail in the La Sal Mtns. near Moab. Sadly, wildflowers were almost non-existent up there :frown: Last year at Warner Lake, there were tons of sneezeweed glowing under the aspens. This year, I saw very few.

A little rainstorm passed by while I was hiking. I waited under some aspens and got pelted with tiny hail while there, but the raindrops made for some nice wildflower shots afterward.

I snapped this with my Canon S100, I think I had it in macro mode. I'm very pleased with the macro mode on this little camera. Comments/suggestions appreciated.

I think you have a good composition here and I like the water droplets.

A very beautiful portrait, Angela. And, the raindrops add that great icing. The wildflowers have been very disappointing here this year.

A pleasant intimate scene, Angela. I think the simple arrangement benefits from the character lent by the water drops - easy to imagine a summer afternoon rainstorm passing through. I think a small crop from the top to eliminate the bare area puts greater emphasis on the greens and columbine.

I really like the way the flower is framed. The water drops really make this work well!
