Wood Anemone
Nikon D200 w. Sigma 150mm Macro 1/350 @5.6 ISO 250 Tripod

Grabbed an hour in the woods at lunchtime today and finally got a chance to play with the D200 - both it and the spring have been a long time coming! Normally would have placed the flower off centre but felt that it was so elegant that it might benefit from a bit of symmetry. Uncropped, so can't do much about it now.

Hi Malcolm,
Beautifully taken, I'd go for a square crop. One thing I noticed is that it's in adobe colour space, for web images sRGB is the one to use.

Hi Malcolm

I like it, but also I agree with Tim I feel this would be a stronger image if cropped square and go for the symetrical approach.

What I really like about this shot is the excellent detail and tones in the whites of the flower petals, very nicely captured.

Agreed... very nice delicate tones, a square crop would be nice to see....
