A drenching
Just back from hols after a long flight home and looking out of the window in my study reminded me of this shot I took earlier in the year where I wanted to show this Godwit having to put up with similar weather.......

1D MKIV, 500 f4, iso800, 1/400 (slight crop for presentation)

The pose, and that drop of water on the end of the beak, sum up our summer really well.
