Heath fritillary
Heath fritillaries are our local speciality, with a large colony just a few miles from our home. Unlike many other species they seem to have done really well this year. I liked this one for the way it is perching on a ragged robin. I would be interested to know if it works for others as well, or do you think the petals of the flower detract from the butterfly?

Thanks,

David

I think it works well and the flower adds some great colour, in a perfect world perhaps the petals would not overlap the butterfly but i think I'm being petty... :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

I agree with Phil, David but still good enough for me. Better than any I have (haven't got any  )
