I love content aware fill
I don't know how this is going to look on the web after compression. It was taking it from 640k to 186 K. I suspect it is going to appear over-sharpened but it shows why I love content aware. I was hiking and saw this rock tile on the opposite wall of the canyon. I put on my 55-250 lens and took a few shots. But there was a dead pine tree just right of center that ran all of the way to the top of the image. It took longer to size this for the web than it did to remove the tree and branches. Not a wow image but much better without the dead tree.

Hi Chad - Maybe post the "before" image as well?

I'd like to see the beore image as well, if only to see how well the tool works and the magnitude of the task it had.

Sorry about only the one view. Here is the original unprocessed image. All of the processing that was done and the posting of the other image were done on my lunch break so it was a quick job.
You will note that I also rotated 3 deg cw. I did not crop the black wedges left around the edges that were left by the rotation but used the contend aware fill to fill that in for me as well. Sometimes you will get a fine line where the edge of the wedge was but a few seconds with the clone tool will remove it nicely. Occasionally you will get some repeated patterns but all that it takes for them is to select one of them and use the content aware to fix it. The larger branches I used CAF on and the smaller ones I just cloned out. Not much of a job on the image but it shows how well the tool can work. Not for everyone I am sure but I sure like it.

I've also been appreciating content aware fill, it really is one of the best advances in photoshop in years. You can't always get everything just right with it on the first go but it is pretty remarkable.

For those that haven't taken the plunge into CS6, the new content aware patch tool may just be more powerful and easy to use. I have used the patch tool now in a few cases where it takes one action, where the fill took several tries and some cleanup. Haven't really used the move tool yet but it looks pretty amazing, too.
