Rawah Wilderness Sunrise + repost
Spend a few days hiking my tail off in the Rawah Wilderness. Can't say I was rewarded with many images, but it is a gorgeous area. No doubt this is forest that is beyond decadent with not only being a very mature forest, but beetle kill on top of it.
This image was a blended shot of 3 exposures in an attempt to capture the moment as I saw it. As always, critique is most welcome.

A very nicely composed sunset (sunrise?). I can almost hear the birds chirping. Blues are a bit strong in the forested area toward the right, but that's a minor nit. You were well rewarded for all of your effort here.

Yep, the blues captured were from the darkest exposure which is too much. I pulled down some of the saturation While working on it, I added a tad bit more detail and glow to the image.

Yes, this was a sunrise. I honestly didn't think this lake and the position of the sun would be worthwhile for a sunrise image. However, I had my camera set up at the lake all night conducting a star trails experiment. When I went down to retrieve my camera, this sunrise was too intriguing to pass up. Although not necessarily a striking image, it will be a good reminder of the trip. Oh, by the way, this is Lower Sandbar Lake. And the star trails experiment - failure.

Oh, that's much better, Ken! Some additional detail in the forests looks good, too.
I'd be quite happy to have a reminder like this one.

I like the repost much better. More natural. Looks like it was quite a morning to experience. It is why we do what we do.

Repost looks better overall to me too Ken. I like how the blues are a bit less saturated. However, the yellows have taken on a bit of a green look that isn't as appealing to me compared to the first version. I might selectively add a bit of red back into the yellows. Nice job!
