Well, I found a small clump of flowers by the stream and got this image which I liked considering the lack of flowers. I spotted another group downstream and decided to go for it. Well, while scaling the rocks, I banged my 24-105 lens and got 2 nice scratches on the lens...that sucks!

A general thought about repairs - If you have not done so, I might suggest the manufacture service programs such as CPS. The discount and turnaround time might be worth the annual member fee. I had a "major repair" on a 70-200 f/2.8 IS II and it did indeed pay for itself - plus they turned it around in a couple days w/FedEx return.
Beautiful image...sorry for your damage...I had a UV filter shattered on Pikes Peak last year...made me a big believer in them! I hope the repair isn't too painful. The good thing is you didn't mention any broken bones!

What is "CPS" ? Always looking for a good repair place! (Hoping the "C" part is not "Canon" as I shoot Nikon)
Thanks!
Sandy
