I'm thinking about planning a trip to Zion this year for fall colors. The weather in Michigan has been above average and almost drought conditions. With everyone's experience what do you folks think about Zion in November this year?

The second week of November is usually reliable. It's a guess as to the effect of the drought on the fall colors. Zion, unlike mountainous areas in Utah and Colorado, isn't as affected by dry conditions - different trees, different environment - usually good.
Zion in November should be good - and except for a milder than normal winter - I dont see much that will change that.
There is a good variety of tree types in Zion - Maples, Oaks, Cottonwoods (if I got that correct) and they tend to peak at different moments over that stretch. How far down the canyon also matters.
I have not done much on the north or west side of the park so any tips there would be handy.
