Manzanar REPOST
Thanks everyone for your input. John, The blue on the mountains was an interesting effect that I didn't intend (I was just restoring color & it came out blue....) so I figured I'd go with it & see what people thought. So 2 reworks, one with sepia, one without. And no blue mountains.

This one has the sepia, just to state the obvious. Thanks for your critiques!

I would have to vote for the sepia. There is still a touch of blue on the monument in the first one.

I also like the sepia version. Hopefully, you can lose the noise in the sky.
I'm not nrmally of a fan of color accents in b&w images, but this works pretty well. I like what you've done here.

Thanks for your help with this. Both the subject & processing (type & amount) are not what I usually do, so I really appreciate your guidance & forbearance with this. The noise came out nicely (kind of interesting that Nik recommends doing NR as 1st step -- I always figured that each processing step added noise, so NR should be done last), as did that light circle in the sky.

I like your final sepia version.

I made my first visit to Manzanar last fall. Definitely a worthy historic stop for anyone on the Lone Pine area.

Regarding noise reduction. The standard recommendation is to do that first to avoid enhancing the noise with further processing. If you leave NR till the end, it most likely need a higher strength, and you certainly would not apply it globally.
Of course, with Nik, I never apply NR globally, regardless of when I do it.
