tripod ring

Canon has a tripod ring for the EF 100 Macro 2.8L IS USM would like to know if this will work on the older EF 100 macro 2.8 USM. Or, if anyone knows another source. Thanks for your time.

No, I don't think so. Based on the B&H website, under accessories, the older macro lens is a tripod ring "B" and the newer IS lens is a tripod ring "D". Generally, there isn't compatibility between the tripod ring models.
