While at Hudson Garden last week a small butterfly kept jumping from plant to plant and not allowing me to get very close. He finally stopped and posed on a plant about 3 feet away from where I was standing. Grabbed a couple of shots before he jump away. This is a tight crop of about 1/5 of the frame and hold amazing detail.

Did you take this hand holding the camera? In any event, yes, very nice detail. Looks like it was in the sun, yet your exposure was very good. Excellent !

Thanks for the comments Ken: Yes this was a hand held shot and in bright sunlight. It was made using the Sigma 105 mm OS (optically stabilized) macro lens. I use this lens a lot when chasing little critters ;O)>.

Beautiful color, and comp. My only nitpick is maybe add a notch or two of brightness. Personal taste thing....

Great sharpness and bokeh! Maybe bring up some brightness on the butterfly and flower but take care not to cause any clipped, hot highlights in the background with any adjustments.
