I have my car packed and I'm leaving tomorrow for 3-4 days.... And I can't think of a single place to go. I'm thinking Paradise divide and San Juan's. With such lousy flower reports, I need ideas for places and comps....help!!!!!

I can be flexible if someone has better ideas.

OK, night number 1 will be spent at Porphyry Basin..sunset and sunrise, then to.....???? Maybe Scout Lake..no flowers but nice view of Engineer Mountain. I can catch Molas Lake while in the area, especially if the afternoon showers kick in. Lilies and clouds, woohoo!

How about you go somewhere where you have never been before? I find it funny that every wildflower and fall season people go to the exact same places. Go to the Elks hike Buckskin Pass, go to Crested Butte hike to Storm pass to see the Castles up close,go to the Gores just open your mind. Think outside of the usual places make it your goal not to go to the same places. Hike Scrap Ridge above Lake Irwin the list is endless ..........

I've been there! Here in Colorado we have so many great choices, that it is hard to decide which one to take.

It's hot this weekend, so high country is nice. The monsoons have probably pumped a lot of moisture into the San Juans. How about Wison, Wilson Peak and/or El Diente? Lizard head pass?
