Dream Lake Twilight
Good 'ol Mother Nature. Just when you think you have a partial chance of getting a decent photo adventure with good weather, Mother Nature throws some bizarre clouds at ya!

Despite all of that, I did have fun last night at Dream Lake in RMNP!

Here's a picture from just prior to twilight:

I like the comp. I don't know what your white balance setting was but it appears there is way to much cyan here. Sunset colors should be much warmer. The trees could also use a little more light. Work on this and you've got a good image.

I agree with Jack. The water has a color balance skewed toward the cyan end while the sky has a bit of a blue/magenta tinge. We're definitely on the cold side of the spectrum here. I would like to see this a little bit warmer and with some shadow detail recovered in the trees. Also needs a bit more sharpening applied to the mountains. I like the composition as well as the moody clouds too!

The basic composition looks good, but I think you need to start afresh with the 'development'.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll do some more tinkering and see what comes about. :)
