I'm going to be in Mesa Verde for several days next month. Will do all the ranger guided tours at hopefully the prime times for interesting light. Any suggestions for some good/great view points along the roads or trails to hit while I'm there? Best time of day?
Any recommendations for filters and such.
Thanks!

I don't know if this interests you, but the Ute Mountain Tribal Park which shares a boundary with Mesa Verde offers a more primitive, less crowded and more authentic experience in viewing Anasazi ruins. I live a stone's throw from both places and I always recommend the full day tour there for folks who have more time and interest.

Mesa Verde is one of the most interesting places I've ever been. I just love the mystery! Don't know any good vantage points, but do take a polarizer for sure.
