Very nice David. When were you up there? I was up at Yankee Boy on Saturday morning this past weekend. Awesome place.

Nice sky with the red rain and sun on the peak tips. I might be inclined to reduce the contrast overall, and open the shadows to show some detail in the LRC. I like the gold of the foreground slopes.
Nice set, David...i love the first and last images on the blog page. Im gonna be a bit hard on you with the image here--with all respect to Doug I disagree with his assessment. All the drama in the shot is in the sky and lit peak--reducing the contrast any more would just continue to wash out and degrade the drama. The problem is not the processing, it's the comp; to be brutally frank, the bottom is just plain "plain" compared to the sky and all the tweaks in the world won't solve that issue. If it were me, personally id crop the bottom fg and just go with a pano top--and increase the contrast. That's just the breaks of landscape photography--if we could compose home runs with every shot there'd be nothing left to celebrate
Thanks Stan, I did struggle getting a good comp at the top of yankee boy, it's an incredible place but there's just so much vastness to it that I was overwhelmed, maybe next time I can figure it out...
That is some gorgeous light and pretty majestic peaks you captured here, David. I like this a lot!
I reckon a pano.crop might work well, but I have no problems with the bottom part of the image myself.
'Plain' perhaps, but the colors are nice and the eye doesn't linger there for long, that's for sure! It's prefectly adequate in the context of the image., IMO.
Nice shot David, wish I would have gotten to see that! The clouds on this are phenomenal! I might shave a little bit off the bottom as well, but not much, as it would diminish the scale of the peaks. Nicely done!

I liked the larger version better than the one on top, so I'm suspecting that I would like it even more bigger. Looks like so many nooks and crannies to study along with the sweet light.
Some sweet light...love the red-painted rain streaks! Unfortunately, we can't always have a stunning foreground lined up when the light goes wild. This is excellent nonetheless.
