After finding the world waterfall database I decided to visit some of the waterfalls they have listed. One of the falls they have listed is the Booth creek falls. I made the 2 mile trek up to the falls a few weeks ago and was fortunate to have the falls to myself from 6:00am to 8:00am. I have to say, it was well worth the hike. There's a couple of smaller falls above the main fall that turned out to be a bonus. If you decide to go, go early because it gets crowded early. I headed back down the trail about 8:30 and I must have passed 25 people headed up the trail. Two of those headed up had helmets, dry bags and repelling rope. I talked to 'em for a few minutes and they told me they were planning on repelling down the falls. Comments and Critigues always appreciated.
Love all three! Especially the color in the rocks in 2 & 3. Well worth the hike!

Interesting falls to look at. I like the depth in the view of #1. The top of the falls being cut off is noticed though. Your chosen shutter speed works well.
Of this set, I like 3 a bunch. The rock colors and offset falls are nice. The brighter underwater rock near the bottom foreground draws the eye a little, so a crop right above it may be a consideration, jmo. Exposure looks good. Nicely done.
I pretty much agree with Doug. I do like the numerous cascades in #1. That makes it for me.
#3 is also my favorite. Showing the falls in context with the surrounding environment helps.
There is a bit too much foreground for my taste. The still waters don't really lead my eye anywhere as a foreground should.

I find the first shot enchanting. I love the smooth, silky look of the water. There are some subtleties in the composition that I think are very effective. The shrub in the upper left corner pulls my eye into the frame and starts it down the waterfall. When I get to the bottom, the curve of the rocks leads my eye back up. The spruce trees keep me in the frame and then there is a faint light streak in the rocks the take me back to the top of the waterfall so I can follow the right side down. Rinse and repeat. Nicely done!
Thanks for all the comments and input. Doug, the falls are about 60 to 70 feet tall and since you're somewhat limited on compositions with these particular falls it was tough to fit the complete falls into one image. The first image covers about half the falls. I have an image of the complete falls but I'm still working on it.

#3 gets my vote for favorite. Very nice image with lots of gorgeous color. You have given me another place to go. Thanks.
That first one gave me vertigo! #1 and #3 have good comps. I like #3 the best of these 3, too. I like the multi-colored rocks around the falls. Beautiful shot.
