Rainbow Sherbet
Last night I was treated to an awesome rainbow in the Ruby range. I took the first shot of it at 7:03pm and the last shot at 8:04pm. And I didn't even start shooting when it first appeared.

But here's the really weird thing: This morning the rainbow came BACK! I'm positive it was the same rainbow because, even though it was now in a totally different location, it looked exactly the same. Even the order in which the colors appeared was identical to the one the night before. And this time it even brought its friend back, too, which wasn't included in the first photo but was present for many others that I took last night. Freaky.

(this one's a stitch of two horizontal images, one on top the other.)

Where's the rainbow? Pot of Gold? Incredible, love the cool colors. #2 for me.

Yep, number 2 does it for me...nice job! Post this in the ESS and you've got a winner.

Extraordinary capture! I love the lit ridgeline and the awesomeness of the rainbow in #1. :toast:

# 2 for me- Great capture!

Another vote for #2. Really like the double rainbow, nice vibrant color. The spotty lighting on the hills is great too. Good job with the processing here.

#2 is EPIC!!! Wow, that's what it's all about...

You could tone down that neon cyan sky. The rainbow reflection is sweeeeeet!

The rainbow in #1 looks more dominant and powerful. Overall, I like this image more.
In #2, the greens in the grass look a little punchy to me. The sunlight across the mtn side is nice.

As always I hate you!

Yeah, something's been happening to my images in the convert-to-sRGB phase that ramps up the colors beyond desirability. Not sure what the funk I'm doing wrong, but it's relatively recent.

#2 is simply a magic moment. The colors were even in the same order? That's odd.

That second shot is really sweet. The partial reflection of the bow is perfect.

Did the rendering intent change?

Awesome. I should have gone with you instead of downtown portland with a bunch of dudes in skinny jeans. Like them both, but probably 2 best.

Like them both...

Dudes in skinny jeans and rainbows? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

If you count the reflection in the lake you got three rainbows. Beautiful job Todd!

The second is an instant Caudle classic! And I agree with Jack on the cyan sky.

Incredibly vibrant rainbows, TC! Beautiful, both of them, with #2 being a little above #1. :toast:
