Male Pheasant
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm f4 non IS, @f7.1, 1/125, ISO 800, RAW, RSE, CS2, Bean Bag, Vehicle as hide.

Hi All,

Not had much time to contribute lately due to work.

Anyway, went out this evening in the hope of catching up with my Barn Owl, but it has disappeared, and I've not seen it for over a month :frown:

I know from watching the hay barn where my barn owl box is, that a Fox uses a gap in the hay stack as a den, I was pleasantly surprised last night when she appeared followed by three cubs  , so tonight sat in a position to get either the Owl or the cubs, well the Owl did'nt show and it was to dark to take pics of the cubs when they came out  so consoled myself with this passing Pheasant.

All comments welcome

Regards

Rob

Hi Rob
Obviously taken late with low light,A touch more saturation might brighten it up abit,Look forward to the fox cubs

Know that feeling all too well, up the saturation a bit (on conversion preferably) and you have a very nice portrait of this pheasant.....

Hi Rob
nice picture of the Pheasant. Good about the Fox pity about the Barn Owl. I waited one night for a Barn Owl and it was just about total darkness when it appeared. It flew up to the chimney and it was just a silhouette. Still a nice sight.

Nice shot. I flushed a Tawny Owl yesterday when walking through the woods - flew right in front of me and then away through the trees before I had a chance to move. I took it out on a pheasant too

cheers
