Trailridge
Wanted to go to Rocky Mountain Park for quite sometime now but work and travel kept me too busy. At last Tuesday evening was able to sneak out from work a little early and drove to Trailridge .. was beautiful out there .. would like to know your thoughts on these.
Thanks a lot for your c&c as always.

#1 - provided a larger version ..

#2 liked the patterns on the rock and the tree trunk

I think the first three -- but especially #2 and #3 -- are too hdr-ish for me, and #2 looks greatly tilted CCW, but I love the last one. Sometimes subtle works better.

Big fan of the last one.

As Todd said, 1,2,and 3 could use more contrast. 4 is the winner here.

I like #'s 1 & 4 very much, Soubhik. It does seem as if you pushed the Shadow/Highlights a bit too hard, though.
I'd love to see a reworked version of these, because the compositions and light are all quite good in each.

The last one has a nice composition. I can understand what you were trying to achieve on the second one, but to my eyes too many patterns in the foreground create a distraction. Maybe it would have been best ot pick one element, either tree or rock?

Your comps just keep getting better, Soubhik. I agree the first 3 are a bit strong in the processing, and that #4 is excellent! :toast:
