Having heard that the sunflower fields near Longmont are missing this year I'm going to head out east tomorrow afternoon in search of sunflowers and abandoned farmhouses. Anyone out there seen either recently?

Do a little exploring in this area and you will find some decent fields https://maps.google.com/?ll=40.05876,-104.428825&spn=0.063854,0.126772&t=m&z=14 here's my shots from there https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150992491102762.435656.100351887761&type=1

I hear there are some massive fields further east of DIA, hoping to check them out next week

If anyone wants to explore the area in Powell, WY, we have several large sunflower fields. I just drove past them yesterday and they're beautiful.

@Elaine, Much as I'd love to spend some time in the Cody/Powell area that's not in the cards for this weekend. Rain Check!

David, thanks for the info. I'm stuck in town till Saturday afternoon and I had visions of having to go nearly to Burlington to find fields. I'll probably be exploring the area you supplied and moving farther east and south if necessary. If I find a bonanza further east of DIA I'll post it here for everyone to see.
