Lucky to find some Hares in my part of Lincolnshire so with a bit of luck i should be able to post a few soon, the bit of land that i took these on held around 20+ more than i have seen for a long time and its noticeable that there are not many dead on the roadside these days.
Going back 10 to 15 years ago the local farmers held Hare culls at the end of the shooting season and would get 200 to 300 each year with no sign of decline suppose you could say this might have had some effect on the numbers but this has not taken place for a long time and still apart from isolated pockets they are still very scarce.I would be very interested to know other areas are the same.
Thanks for your comments on my last post.

Three at this time of year is very good. I have one good hare spot locally, other than that, although widespread, they are very thin on the ground.
I'll look forward to some more hare postings soon.

Great shot Keith, I hope the middle hare hasn't lost an ear! We don't get many brown hares here just mountain hares and on the west coast they are not numerous so very hard to get to grips with so I head east where they are more plentiful. look forward to more shots Keith.
