hey all, I have a meeting in vancouver but am spending a night before in Seattle with my cousin...then I have about 24 hrs to get to Vancouver. Can any one recommend good photography sites along the way.... or within an hour of Vancouver?

Here's one option for your Seattle to Vancouver BC trip:
North on I-5 to Everett, then take the ferry from Mukilteo to Whidbey Island. Get to the ferry early so you can shoot the Mukilteo Lighthouse about a block away from the terminal. Follow WA-525 north to Fort Casey State Park and Admiralty Head Lighthouse. Continue north on WA-20 to Coupeville (lunch?) then up to Deception Pass State Park. Cross over the bridge to Fidalgo Island, then shoot the bridge and head down to Rosario Beach. Follow WA-20 back to I-5 at Burlington.
Add another scenic leg by taking WA-11 along the coast at Larrabee State Park and Chuckanut Bay to Bellingham. Good food and coffee in the historic Fairhaven District.
Another good option: Hwy 542 from Bellingham to its end at the Mount Baker Ski Area for the iconic view of Mount Shuksan from Picture Lake. At the very end of the road, Artists Point has more great views of Shuksan and Mt. Baker itself.
You could also easily spend 24 hours shooting either Seattle or Vancouver, both beautiful cities with lots of photo ops.

thanks Greg, I didn't see your post until after I got home but I followed your itinerary nearly perfectly...plus found Sweet Ds shrimp shack for some awesome seafood! You live in a great location.
