Crane, bit different+repost+moody
Having taken every possible 'crane in goldlen light' shot i could think of I turned around and tried for something a bit more unusual.

C and C very welcome

All the best

I can smell its breath from here.  Perhaps get rid of the light bit in the lower RHC?

Nothing to distract the eye now. A very atmospheric shot. Now, if only it was in 3D.

Hi Ian, I think you could push it a little more, forgoing some detail in the body of the bird and going more to pushing for the 'ring of fire' and breath, it about conveying the scene/atmosphere, rather than the subject, but all personal taste. Might have minussed the comp more too. Just my take.

Looks good Ian, agree with Steve's comments to maybe get more atmos in the image.

Very nice atmospheric photo Ian. I particularly like how you have captured the birds breath. Some great advice given to maybe add a few options too. I prefer the second one also. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Ok for Steve and co I have gone mega moody.

Had to use brush to keep some of the darker area of the ring showing and not loose to much breath..

Also not sure about the white neck stripe

please let me know what you think

Second image for me Ian, although between the second and third I think could be very nice :toast: :toast:
