The Creator was showing off yesterday on Guanella Pass. I hadn't been up there in years so I decided to make a day of it. Man, am I glad I went. The weather kept coming through all afternoon, and Bierstadt is a great 14'er. They have paved the road up there and I guess all the way to Grant on 285. Great driving, but you wouldn't believe how many people were up there to hike Bierstadt!! There might have been 300 cars in the lots and along the road when I got up there after noon. Thankfully most were coming down from the hike to leave, so it cleared out pretty quickly.
#3 There were even a couple of moose in and by the lake after about 7. Although they are not much larger than a couple of dark spots at this size.

Just beautiful Morris, I love all three! I did spot the moose in #3 even at this size. I would clone out what looks like a top of a tree creepng in at the bottom of three by the "M" in your first name. Again, beautiful with some great light!

Great shots Morris. We were supposed to be up there last night, but couldn't get motivated to get out.

FANTASTIC! That rainbow(s) shot is out of this world! But they're all awesome.

That rainbow shot is phenomenal!!!!

Wow. The scene in person must have been truly awesome, but you also composed it in such a way where we can get about as much of the scene as possible from a 2D representation, not an easy task. Your framing and choice of focal length pulls the eye and heart right into the scene in all three images. Beautifully done, and you're right, He showed His handiwork that day!

I love the rainbow, Morris.
I was up there a couple of weeks ago for a morning hike to Square Top Lakes, a delightful area. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for the late afternoon "fireworks", but I will definitely return.
Wow, great stuff Morris. Special lighting conditions really make these stand out. Awesome country but I can't imagine 300 cars at a trailhead although I it can happen in Yellowstone quite easily but nobody really hikes the trails just drive the roads.

It's all about the light here, Right place, right time and definitely the right photographer to capture it.
I love all three of these and my only suggestion for improvement was already noted by Jeff.
I gotta tell ya that the (double) rainbow image is drop dead gorgeous and perfect! One of the best rainbow placements I've ever seen. Looking forward to seeing it in the Landscape gallery!

Super set of images Morris! Love them all, but the rainbow is my favorite!

Awesome rainbow, Morris, that is some sweet light in all three, really like the spotlight effects in 3 as well.

Great set of images especially the rainbow . Would have liked to have been there and been able to captured the moose close up with the mountain background.

I'm on board with everyone else...that rainbow shot is fantastic! The sky in that first one ain't nothing to sneeze at either!
Don George, you can probably see them every evening about 7 at the lake.
Stan, that sounds like a fantastic idea, but we will have to do Fall first!!

Some really nice images, so cannot pick a favorite as each has something different going for it. A possible suggestion would be to add some contrast to #1 and 3. This looks like great moose country.
