I enjoyed photographing autumn in the San Juan Mountains
last fall. I would like to make the trip again this year.
Would it be exceptional or unusual if Colorado had two con-
secutive good years of fall color? Did smoke from the wildfires further north in the state drift into the San Juans which might
have a detrimental affect on the foliage?
Of course, I'll be following the fall color reports as the season
nears.
Thank you.

we'll be setting up a fall colors report thread, probably the first week in September so keep coming back and look for the bold sticky up top. Anything could happen this year with the lack of snow and rain we've had in Colorado.

I've been concerned about fall color in the San Juans, as well. But looking at the conditions that Guy Schmickle showed in his post on August 14 has me somewhat encouraged. Look for "Weminuche Moon" and follow the link to his website for the complete showing of his recent trip. The San Juans look much better than I thought they would. Regardless, I'll be there from Sept 25 - Oct 05.

Looking forward to hearing frequent updates on the subject. I'll be in the San Juans from October 2nd thru the 9th.

I'm planning to be there the first week in October, probably October 2 - 8 as well.
