Mud glorious Mud
A lonesome Little Ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius)seemed happy enough feeding.

Canon 1D3 Canon 800 plus 1.4 extender mk3 1/1250 sec 1120mm ISO 800 f/10 Raw to Lt Room 4 the PS5 not sure on my PP did I over sharpen?

Saved to web. Still trying to get to grips with the PP aspect I think I'm too heavy handed with adjustments.

Critique, Comments and Advice most welcomed and totally appreciated.

Thanks for looking.

Nice one Barry
I reckon a little bit of rotation left- but a minor nit. Very nice.
Looking at the biggie there might be a bit of oversharpening -not sure
Cheers

I agree with John, on both observations. Easily rectified. Did you get any images of the mud dwellers? It would be interesting to see what food it was foraging for.

Barry that's a load of sticky looking mud, must say it does look a tad oversharp on the large one.

John, David and Keith

Thanks for the comments. I must admit I'm a bit of a rascal by giving the lead on the over sharpening question you didn't pick up on the cloned effort which was the unasked question. I was trying to measure my effort in that direction, when you're just starring at the on screen adjustment the decision is not always spot on in my case.

I read the comments before I looked at the large version, so I was looking for cloning. It is a bit obvious once you know to look for it, Barry. But I will admit I missed it before I knew it was there.

Great little bird and one I would love to photograph, the light looks tricky so congrats on controlling the exposure. One of your best shots to date, Barry.

Andy...
