Hi Gang, I snuck over from RMNP to shoot a quick congrats to Marc's Sep cover shot in Outdoor Photographer, absolutely stunning image. Besides all the things we look for in a landscape shot (which are all there), the moment was caught when a wind gust hit the top of the sand dune and just started blowing sand up off the peak. That element made the gorgous scene become the gorgeous scene that I'm truly part of, IMO.
OK, back to RMNP... y'all need better security here, I snuck right into this forum!

You know, I went to OP.com and there was no sign of Marc's shot on the site, and there actually still isn't. But They are showing it on their Facebook presence. I don't do Facebook, but you don't need an account to see it, so the link is safe to click.

BTW, they reversed the image to make it work as a cover shot. They mention that in the vertical bar column with the description of the image and photographer, and they show the original version there in a thumbnail.
There's a great forum discussion: would it bother you if a magazine wanted to print your shot on their cover but wanted to flip it around to fit their layout? It certainly doesn;t make Marc's image bad, I didn;t know about that until later... I wonder what Marc thinks of that. Painful part of the publishing process I suppose.
