Red-tailed hawks having fun
I thought I would share some images of two juvenile Red-tailed hawks that would fly right by the cliff and then dive into the canyon below. It was an amazing display of flying skills. They would chase each other down into the canyon, fly upside down, zig-zag between trees and then back up the canyon. I do not know if most hawks do this as I have never seen this before but they looked like they were just having fun and playing.

Image #1 The chase begins.

I've watched juv. red-tails in play, but never seen seen such a purposful and successful attempt at "...Hey Bute', .let's play goshawk!"
Amazing series! Way to go!

Channeling their inner Goshawk, I guess. Great series, Jim.
