Grand Finale
I have been working this image over the last few days. I initially posted it on the landscape forum last week and I have incorporated some changes from some of the suggestions.

This is a 3-exposure blend using luminosity channel masks: the base exposure for the sky, a second exposure for the foreground, and a third exposure for the brightest highlights in the sky. This is the most complex blend I have attempted to date. Additional processing includes curves adjustments, TK's luminosity masks, and smart glow.

I know the sunburst is not to everyone's taste - this was my first attempt to use it - I think it works well here as it links the glow in the clouds to the sun. The sunburst was the result of using the smallest aperture on my lens (f22).

Although I took this image mostly to develop my processing skills (pun not intended but I kind of like it  ), I think the light makes it an interesting image. I took this at an overlook along HWY 207 south of Claude, TX overlooking the eastern part of the Palo Duro Canyon outside of the state park boundary.

All comments and critiques are welcome.

Brian, I think you did a great job of the blend. The shot looks totally natural. By the way I like the sunbeams.

Love it. One of the best images I have seen of Palo Duro Canyon. Great job on the blend as it looks very natural.
