The Little Colorado was bout 2000cfs yesterday and USGS shows the LCR at Winslow at 3400cfs this morning. Grand Falls may be an option this Saturday. I went last evening. Here are some quick edits to show the flow and give you an idea if you may plan on heading there.

Great captures, Doug. I really like the composition and lighting in #1 and the raw turbulence in 2 and 3. You're everywhere - Winslow, North Rim, Bryce, Willis, San Juans, Oak Creek, GS Escalante, etc. You cover a lot of ground. And, I'm glad you do. Thanks for sharing.

Ditto on Doug covering a lot of ground. I started following him on facebook just to see where he'd show up next!

Great info Doug, I was thinking of making it up there tomorrow but my schedule is a bit crazy for the next week and have to leave everything opened. How are the roads to get there? I've never been and might try to make it for a sunrise since my evening plans tomorrow may change.

Peter, the roads are pretty good, some washboarding. The falls face west, so sunset is better.

Man I wish I had thetime to get there. I've been watching the USGS site very closely since we started to get all the rain, but I have workshops at the canyon through the end of next week.
Thanks for the update!

Nice work, Doug. You got some good conditions in #1, but I really like the composition you chose in #2.
Gotta be nice to live within an hour or so of this place!

Thanks for the heads up Doug, and a really nice comp on that first one!
Great colors and beautiful sky on the first image Doug.

I didn't take long for the flow to diminish, as it down to 227cfs right now. Maybe another few days of heavy monsoon rain will come and bring it back up to near 2000 cfs again. Here is the link for the USGS water flow data. LCR at Winslow

Thanks Doug,
We also had a ton of rain in Vegas last Wednesday - over two inches in areas and a 24-hour fall that exceeded our past 365 days. And now we are very dry. Almost fall or spring like.
I did half-consider taking the journey to Grand Falls yesterday, but watching the same page, the flow did drop fairly fast. The page is bookmarked for the next round!
Looks like more storms early in the week - up to 40% chance. Too far out to reliably look at Labor Day.
