Snapped this shot along highway 26 between Madras and Prineville few weeks ago. Loved the bee boxes, mustard color, and crooked river canyon in the distance.
Is it too busy? Sometimes I like things for all that I see and what it represents to me, but it can leave others flat or distracted.

One must please themselves with their creation and not be too concerned if others also feel rewarded by your image. Your eye is the beholder of the mix of relationships of objects that required your involvement leading up to the capture. Your image has very nice leading lines. Just for grins you might try cropping in from the sides tighter and see if that works for YOU.

I like this image Marylynne! Its a nice shot of the life in the area. I like the contrast between the irrigation with full field of mustard and the juniper and sage hills in the background.
Thanks, John and Cliff. Not sure if things are still blooming. This was one of those, "ooh, pretty," pull over and snap shots on my way between Portland and Prineville.
