Seeking the path of light
I paid my favorite field of wild sunflowers my annual visit last week. I still haven't seen another field that has as many as this place.

I put this title to this series because the light lent itself to conversions. And, when we remove the color it is more about the light.

In the first one, the background has as much appeal to me as the in focus middle ground. And, it has an old time feel to it for me as well.

I put a larger version up of this one as it really needs to be seen bigger, I think.

I love the direction / theme you have on these. #1 through #3 are just awesome. #4 needs the context of the others to be understood. Very pretty!

I just picked up a mid tele with a ton of DOF (ZE 2/100) today so these shots are of special interest for studying technique.

Well done Morris!

Holy Smokes Morris! Just love #1 and #3 and think the Black & White processing really works here. Sensational. Just add a some dandy lion floating seeds in #3 and you get the ultimate fairy tale.

Excellent work Morris! I particularly like the depth you created in the image on #1 and #3 by using the shallow depth of field. Love the light on number 4 as well.

Wow, #1 looks like a wildflower dream! Excellent!

An inspiring set with the light, dof and b&w. The backlighting is really nice in these. Preference to 1, 2, and right half of 3.

This series is absolutely brilliant, Morris! The choice of b&w did indeed make this all about the light, and it just works so well.
You got exactly the mood you wished for with #1.
I do agree with Doug that a square crop coming in from the left with #3 might be an asset.
I applaud your creativity in creating art here. I really enjoyed viewing these images.

Love the series Morris! 1 and 4 are superb. In 2 I like how each flower seems to be expressing some personality.

Great series... #3 is the one that tugs at my soul... I can't explain why at all... but that's the one for me!
