I went up to Cataract lake this morning to shoot the falls and captured this near the top of the falls. I noticed that a few of the aspen have started to turn but nothing big yet. I also noticed there were some patches where the laves just fell off. I hope this season is more sizzle then fizzle.
A beautiful leaf shot. Great complimentary background with the green behind the orange.
I'm with you Michael, bring on the sizzle! It seems like I haven't hit the peak color in years.

Fantastic leaf shot! Not sure about the high country but I drive past Castlewood Canyon every day and the scrub oaks are already about halfway to peak. It's gonna be an early fall
