Woodcock
Sorting out some old pics to leave in my will  and came across this old one from a while back in film days.
Saw the bird sitting - took a couple and moved on.
Copied from an Ecktachrome slide on my home made stuff.
No exif I,m affraid. Would be a Pentax of some sort and probably a Tamron 70-210mm
Focus not spot on but what the heck
Cheers
Thanks for your interest in my last post.

Only seen a sitting woodcock twice in my life, John, and never got a photo either time. I like the low angle here, and your scanning skills are pretty good as well.

My dog puts these up all the time in winter. Must teach it to use a camera although I doubt it would get as good a shot as this JR.

Thanks all.
Pity the bird is slightly out but you can't win em all !
So far I've found about a dozen nests, and seen hundreds of birds(putting them up and roding ) but every nest I have found has been by accident and I hate to think how many hours I,ve spent searching.
Thanks again.
Appreciated.

a slight shame about the OOF eye John but a lovely shot otherwise. I've only ever seen them explode into the air in front of me.
