Thats a lovely shot showing classic habitat. looks to be a big crop as a bit noisy and could do with warming a little but i do like it :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

The picture/subject/setting itself is very nice Mike but the quality of the image, as presented, completely spoils the shot for me. As Phil mentions, it looks as if it is a big crop and the point of focus appears to be in front of the deer. I don't have any images of wild Roe Deer and if I had this I'd be pleased that I had the opportunity to at least get a record shot but equally dissappointed that it wasn't really up to the mark. :frown: I'd say better luck next time, if a next time comes along that is.

Negative points covered. It is quite grainy. Maybe a vertical crop.?

Perhaps a drop in gamma too.

it's nice to have a record of your encounter Mike, but I'm afraid the image quality is not the best. It does look like a large crop, even then I'm not sure how it got so grainy at ISO 500.

I think it is miss focussed, the grasses in front of the deer are rather sharp. Shame as the pose is a gud un.
