It has been a while since I posted anything new - but that is really only because I have just not had the time to shoot anything but senior portraits and car shows. This is a recent image of the Rogue River in south-central Oregon before it enters the famed Rogue River Gorge. It is amazing, and hard to imagine the flow in this small image - but I'll tell you, it is powerful and a lot! This spot also marks a fated mistake for a photographer, (name unknown), who back in May jumped the fence to get closer for a shot. They have still not found his corpse.

Beautiful shot, Ned! "Powerful and a lot," says it all, and you really depicted it well. Nice light, too! Just curious if you took any shots at a little faster ss. Would like to see it, it you did, just for comparison.
Tragic the lost soul, but that's why signs and barriers are there. Wish people would heed them…

I Googled the story about the young man who slipped and fell in here; what a tragedy.
The combination of the sweet light and water texture is a winner.

Nice shot Ned, especially like the colors and light on the water. the LLC is a little distracting but what'cha gonna do.

I didn't shoot anything with a faster SS - other than this other location taken nearby: http://www.72dpi.com/photo/54539
