One last image from my evening on a high ridge in the Uncompahgre. My main objective was capturing the images of Wetterhorn Peak that I posted earlier, so any other images I came back with were a bonus. I have to say that I really loved this part of the San Juans, it has a very wide open and deserted feel and the solitude was pretty amazing. I also shot some more images of Wetterhorn the next morning which I'l probably post after I finish working on them.
Thanks!

Very beautiful, Paul. That's an area of the San Juans I haven't explored much yet. I'd maybe tone down the blues in the lower part of the sky, otherwise I like it very much.

I really like the com, it does seem a touch over-saturated to me. I might tone it down just a touch.

Agree with toning down the blues, and personally id crop the fg, i dont think it adds anything. A pano would be a real winner IMO.

Hi Paul. Looks like a beautiful evening up there in the Big Blue Wilderness. I bet you slept well that night. I personally like the foreground. I think the addition of all that nice green tundra adds a nice alpine feel to the image. Ill agree with others concerning the coolness of the image. It may be just a matter of tweaking your white balance, it's not too far off..

Thanks guys, I'll tweak the sat and tone the blues down a little and see what it looks like. Stan, I'll have to play with some crops and see if I can make a pano work for my eye. Thanks for the suggestions :toast:

What a big, beautiful view! I love the kiss of light you captured on that peak.
I think the composition as it stands is terrific!

Really, really nice. I like this view of Uncompahgre. It's not one I normally see photographed. Well done!
