Mt Evans
I have had a really slow year for many reasons, but I finally made my way up to Mt Evans this morning before they close the road for the season. The light was great for about 10 minutes and then was mostly diffused...which offers other nice opportunities.

Here is one right at sunrise...had a super yellow color cast....believe it or not, this is even toned down.

as I mentioned, the light was diffused pretty early on...this was around 8 am

and last...what is Evans without a curious Marmot watching what we're doing.

I like the head-on and the marmot, Kurt! The others are nice too, but not up to your very high standards. :wavey:

I heartily disagree! All of these are excellent and do indeed measure up to the work we always expect to see from you.
I just love the marmot sneaking a peek!

Great shots! I love #1 and #2, especially the detail in his fluffy new coat and the colors in #1 and the way he's cocking his head plus the warm sunrise lighting #2. The head on, head shot is great too! Nice job with all of them. Have never been up there to see the goats. I hope to one day, maybe next year. Blessings, Deb

Kurt, fine shots of the goats. I like #1 the best. Thanks for reminding me of my first trip to Mt. Evans this past June.

Beautiful color in all of these. I like the head on portrait the best, the marmot next, and the first in order for favorites. Outstanding work, as usual, Kurt! :toast:

Great portraits and light!

The warm light and perspective on the first goat image is my favorite from the selection. The marmot shot is also really fun!

Some awesome shots here. Head on portrait is my fav of the bunch!

Preference goes to number 4 then 1. To me, the goat in 5 seems to lack personality due to the staunchy side profile. The combination of warm light on the white hair with the purple and blue backgound is nice in #1.
