Hey everyone,
Me and a few other NPN'ers met at the North Rim over the Labor Day weekend to do some shooting. We got some epic conditions and awesome light. I was on a "long exposure" mode, so here are some of the shots I got from this trip.
#1 Last Light - This was sunset the first night Locust Point.

#2 Forever Royal - Some nice stormy skies late morning at Cape Royal.

#3 Passing Light - Last bit of sunset light from Point Sublime.
Thanks for looking!
All C&C appreciated.

Dang man, all three of these are pretty epic. Hard to choose a favorite out of the three. I really gotta get myself a 9 stopper. The light in 3 is awesome with the layers of the canyon and the black and white works very well with wotans throne. I did a B&W conversion but not nearly as good as yours. I haven't really found anything I liked from locust (just yet) but I keep going them over and over. Wonder what other goodies you got during the trip. Great set!

I'm glad to see the weather cooperated for your group trip.
I especially like the long exposure and B&W conversion in #2
Looking forward to seeing more from everyone.

Hey I got pictures just like these!
(Inside Joke amongst all off us on the trip)
Awesome stuff Chikku. Really liking #2.
The sunsets and weather, except for Sunday morning were rather generous for us. That Chikku turned that dumpy sky at Cape Royal into a kickass shot is a testament.

Nice stuff and #3 is a cracker! Glad you guys made it out together, and it seems all came back with more than a few keepers.

Each and every one of these images is spectacular, Chikku! I have no suggestions to offer at all.
My favorite is #2. There are a couple of small bright spots on the left edge of cape on the far canyon wall that you might burn down.
I can't wait to see more from this trip, as I kick myself for not attending.

Love the light in the first one but all are wonderful! What a fun outing it must've been.

I like how the cloud streams make a motion contrast with the static canyon. This works well with the B&W especially, imo.
In #1, it seems the sky and distance can be darkend some. You caught the light coming up the canyon from the sun well.
